Vita and Frank have one great thing in common: they're both of Italian heritage. They also had one great vision for their wedding: getting married in the homeland, Italy.
While many couples are happy to have a destination wedding to trim down their guest list, if you're an Italian-American it just won't work. You can be sure that ALL of your relatives - from your long lost cousin Gino to your 80-year-old gramma Carmela - will do everything in their power to be at your Italian Wedding. So you'd better have plenty of food, drink and dance planned for your Matrimonio all'Italiana!
And that's just what Vita and Frank did. Their vision was for three full days of celebrating, touring, and merrymaking and they started off with a welcome dinner in a Tuscan castle: flag throwers opened the castle doors to a courtyard gala dinner serenaded by an authentic Neapolitan musical trio leading the chanting of those old country favorites the guests knew by heart.
While we took care of cake tasting and paperwork, guests kept busy touring Florence to get their fill of museums and history. Vita had provided for welcome baskets so everyone had their water and munchies for the day out galavanting around.
Then came the wedding day: a fantastic civil ceremony and touching religious blessing followed by wining, dining and dancing till the wee hours with a five piece band playing everything from 'O sole mio to New York, New York! All the invitees found it so hard to leave this magnificent journey back to their roots.
We were by Vita and Frank's side for an entire week of driving around for paperwork, stopping for cake tasting, planning out table settings, favors, welcome bags, cake tops, logistics .... here's what they had to say about us:
I attached a few photos of the two of you “in serious wedding planning action” - Actually you two might consider using them as proof to how far you go for your clients. Frank's favorite is on the the way up to the municipal building the morning of San Gimignano. Frank & I appear to be two high profile celebrities who were photographed by the poperazzi aka Donati. Fortunately, our secret service security staff were keeping watch. haha....:)
