Aahhh.....Venice!  History, Cinema, Romance....Venice has it all, and some!  A conglomerate of small islands connected by water buses, Venice is flooded in winter, packed in summer, but always the main attraction for Italy-goers. 

One of the most well-known islands internationally is the island of glass, Murano.  Here you can witness the artwork of glass blowers at work making amazing pieces of glass from the fiery liquid substance.

Burano is the isle of lace.  Female hands work intricate needles and cotton to weave wonderful laceworks on this colorful island.

Torcello isle is said to have been lived on by the Romans in 100 AD and the cathedral of Maria Assunta is a testimony to this era.

The historic venues in Venice are uncountable.  The alleyways and canals to stroll down are innumerous.  This small Republic  which once extended into Croatia and other neighboring countries is a marvel to discover.
